Terraforming the Taklamakan

China has spent huge sums to terraform the Taklamakan desert to extract resources like oil and gas, create lithium plants, and build and infrastructure through the heart of the desert.
The project is an archive of all the currents sites of terraforming in the desert. A printed map was created that accompanies a video installation showing the growth of the biggest sites where documented through satellite pictures of the last 20 years.
